ZAGG Inc Introduces New Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Derek Smith to Lead Marketing Efforts, Direct New Product Development

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct 16, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ZAGG Inc (OTCBB: ZAGG), manufacturer of invisibleSHIELD(TM) clear protective film coverings for consumer electronics, has named Derek Smith as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Smith relocated from Australia to join ZAGG in August 2007.

Mr. Smith has previous experience as the General Manager and Director for Queensland Olives Management Ltd., where he recruited and trained a national sales force and worked closely with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). Most recently, Smith was the Business Development Manager for Covidian Healthcare. He was in the Army National Guard from 1986 to 2000 and is a veteran of the Gulf War, where he served as staff sergeant before gaining his commission and being promoted to second lieutenant.

"Derek brings a tremendous knowledge-base and extensive management experience to the company, and we are thrilled to have him in a key executive position as we continue to grow," said Robert G. Pedersen II, President and CEO of ZAGG. "He has a keen understanding of what we want to accomplish, and his talents and leadership abilities will be crucial to our success."

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Smith will be responsible for the strategic marketing and sales programs that will drive brand recognition and demand for ZAGG's products and services. In addition to planning, organizing and managing all marketing functions, Smith will work together with public relations to ensure consistent and proper media coverage. He will assume an active role in both directing growth efforts and working with national and international distributors.

ZAGG's quick and exponential growth is fueled by the recent move to become public as well as the company's development of a European division. Smith commented, "It's an ideal time for me to come on board with ZAGG and I'm looking forward to leveraging my background and experiences to continue the company's expansion into new markets while capitalizing on untapped market opportunities."
